Kevin: "You look really pretty today."
Lisa: "Really? Even with my hair parted in the middle?"
(I say this as I turn to face him. Kevin is not a big fan of the middle part and the fact that he complimented me while the middle part was in action was a red flag.)
Kevin: "Oh. I didn't notice that. "
Lisa: "So you don't think I look pretty today?"
Kevin: "Well....."
Lisa: "Rude."
This my friends, is what I call a compliment indian-giver.
